Each year Gilhooleys Irish Pubs and Restaurants celebrate St Patrick’s Day on March 17. Media outlets usually capture some footage of the celebrations presenting Gilhooleys with the opportunity to undertake something unique that would attract media attention. That unique event was a Guinness World Record Attempt for Mini Cramming. That’s right! How many people can be crammed into a mini?
Activity
FranchEyes Marketing and PR created the idea, coordinated sponsorship and managed the event in conjunction with Gilhooleys. Several press releases were written and media involvement was sort before, during and after the event.
Result
The equivalent of more than $70,000 of advertising was generated in publicity, contributing to a 22% increase in sales over the previous year.
